John and Rico Show Returning Soon
Don't worry. We have not left you. The John and Rico show plans on returning very soon. We've got some exciting behind the scenes action taking place which will result in many new listeners. We haven't even scratched the surface. Our audience is going to explode this summer. Stay tuned for more.....

Welcome To Thursday
Things are changing so fast that I can't keep up. New equipment on it's way. New mics, new mixing console, new phone system to take calls. Also learning new ways to get the show out to the masses "LIVE". Lots of promotion to come. We are finding out new ways to improve things each day! I am single handedly building a radio station at my place. What a Loon!
The studio will have four Mics. A full sized Keyboard for musical guests to stop by. We'll even have seating available for 15 audience members in our studio. It's all part of a major plan to prove that I'm even more insane than you people give me credit for. Remember that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer found the Merv Griffin Set in the dumpster? So he decided to bring it up to his apartment and put on a show? Well I'm feeling a lot like Kramer right now. Crazy crazy stuff. I'm having a good time with it. Let's see how far we can take this crazy idea. How far will this project go? Well the worst case scenario would be for me to pull a Forest Gump who one day just decided that he didn't feel like running anymore. In a similar fashion, One morning I could wake up and decide that I just don't feel like doing this radio show anymore.
However.... since I'm trying to turn this into a money making operation, I'm not likely to throw it all away unless I have a very good reason to do so. I want to make this into something BIG!
So in closing.... You may not get a new show every day until things stabalize. I'm doing this all on my own. Studio design, equipment installation, Show promotion. It's all ME! One man can only do so much. So please be patient. I am throwing as much of myself into this operation as I can handle. Each day there is progress being made. You may not always see that progress on your end. But each day something is being done to work towards this crazy dream I have of spreading this show across the world.

Week 1 done. More Fun To Come!
This sure is an exciting adventure that we've begun. 20 years ago this wasn't even possible. A show like ours being able to reach a worldwide audience without a broadcast station. It couldn't be done. I was working at a tiny radio station in Massachusetts at the time. I recall going to work and being excited that perhaps 500 people may tune in to my show. I do cautiously say "PERHAPS". The reality of the situation is that it may have been less. But thanks to technology we now get to reach a worldwide audience on our terms. Millions of potential listeners and No boss breathing down our neck. No format to follow. Just some crazy fun. Incredible!
We'll be taking a couple of days off to upgrade some sound equipment and to promote the show as well. This first week has basically been a test run so that we could get used to the feel of things around here. 5 shows in the can so far. This is just the very beginning of something great.
Obviously we don't have many "followers" (as they are called around here). Blogger.com gives all the blogs that name. If I could change it I would. Maybe calling them "Maniacs" would be better. At least that's funny. Oh well, Life goes on. In any event, We've done Zero show promotion. Other than a few message board postings, nobody even knows that we exist. I've checked the stats and about 20 different people a day have been checking us out. Big Deal you may say. I certainly agree. Nobody in their right mind is going to brag about 20 listeners a day. However those numbers will soon be multiplying big time. But for now I appreciate the listeners that we do have. Every one of you counts and I thank you for tuning in. You'll soon be joined by thousands more. Then we will see how far we can go from there. The sky is the limit and we hope to make our mark.
As you visit this blog also keep in mind that you don't see many comments for the simple reason that all Anonymous comments are blocked. I saw widespread abuse of the comment section on another blog. People simply posted multiple messages as anonymous. So in the end there ended up being a blog that looked like it had a lot of visitors, but in reality it's the same 5 people posting over and over and over and over again. That's worthless to me. I want to get to know our real audience. We do not want to to deceive you people by attempting to make it look like we have a lot of fans if we don't. We also don't want this to be a place where people argue and fight. That's not what this blog is about. It's about broadcasting our show. Therefore we require you to sign your name or at least have some kind of blogger ID if you want to make a comment. For the rest of you, we will soon be offering several other ways to send anonymous comments our way. We just don't want to jam up our page with them.
OK... well that sums it all up for now. Studio upgrade and Show Promotion this weekend. Enjoy the nice weather! We'll be back with new shows in a couple of days.

The John and Rico Show - Show 3
Hope you are enjoying the biggest snowstorm of the season. Talk about March coming in like a lion. The Good News is that Typically this is the last month of the season that it snows. So I guess that Winter is going out with a bang this year. Drive safely and stay safe. Roads are slick today. If you got a snow day today away from work or school, I hope you are enjoying it. Don't forget to tune into Jimmy Fallon tonight as he takes over for Conan O'Brien on NBC. I wish him luck and hope that all goes well with his first show. If you are in the city and want to see the program, than today will probably be a good day to go see him since a bunch of people with tickets probably won't show up because of the bad weather. Call (212)664-3056 this morning and ask about Ticket availability. The show will be taping tonight at 5:30 PM

The John and Rico Show starts Today!
Nothing like starting a brand new show on a Friday. Of course it would have been more normal to kick it off on a Monday. However there is nothing normal about us. John and Rico are two wacky guys who tell it like it is. Don't expect us to sugarcoat things and don't expect us to be politically correct either. Wild Things To Come!!!
Plans are to make this into much more than just a Blog. Audio and Videos will be common in the near future as I begin my own show. I've got a lot to say and it will all be said here.
